I'm amazed I haven't heard fire doc yet....  ::)

Someone else already started that thread.

Jeez, you would think someone hasn't been paying attention.  I haven't once said "fire doc" since the Celtics won the title.

not aimed at you, you're reformed.

The most realistic scenario i see is inserting Daniels or TA into the starting lineup so that we'll have a defender/athlete who can run the floor with Rondo, while allowing Ray to bring instant offense off the bench. Ray can fill the crawford role. Ray is my favorite player of all-time, so this is not a knock on Ray. I think this move would benefit the team much more than trading Ray. If we trade Ray for another starter, the problems with bench scoring will still remain. There are enough scorers in the starting lineup, so having TA or Marquis out there for defensive purposes/finishing layups from Rondo won't be a bad thing. We NEED consistent bench scoring more than anything, and i think having Ray fill that role will go a long way with this team.

I agree with moving TA into the starting lineup. Hopefully it would allow Ray to play fewer minutes and maybe he can find his shot. In the last 10 games he is shooting 31 percent from beyond the arc and for the last five games at almost 29 percent. Also for the last five games, he is 36 percent from the field.

Yeah, i'm not used to seeing Ray struggle so much. I have so much confidence/faith in him, so to see him shoot like this has been heartbreaking. I think the time of having Ray as a starter might be coming to an end. All the great ones had to learn to accept a lesser role. Ray is no different. I would LOVE having Ray bring instant offense off the bench. Other than Crawford, i can't think of anyone else in the league i'd rather have filling that type of role. And i know that Crawford has a better handle than Ray, but Ray is not a bad ball handler. He's just a bad passer/decision maker. If Ray goes out there and just focuses on providing instant offense, i think he'll give us exactly what we're looking for.
