TP Bahku.

It's true that the human nature tends to put more weigh on negativity than good things, and it reflects in sports, particularly.

I think 3 of the 4games we played them on the back end of a back to back is one reason, injuries are another.Circumstances sometimes do play an important role in win/loses.

Atlanta has a good team full of young athletic All-Star caliber players. We need to give them some credit. And if we have learned anything this year, we struggle against this type of team. Hopefully we can avoid all such match ups in the playoffs.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

There is one thing I don't get. The Hawks were 4-0 against the Celtics this year, yet the Celtics are the better team? Unless the Celts play and beat them in the playoffs, that just does not compute.

During our 07-08 championship season, we lost all 4 games to the Wizards?!?! of all teams, two of those losses were in January during the long MLK weekend in a rare home and home 2 games in 3 days, I believe.

Sometimes a team catches another at a time when they can be exploited. Our last three losses to the Hawks were ALL on the back end of back to backs, and all almost within a month of each other at a time when injuries to key players played a part. Hopefully they won't be so fortunate come playoff time.
I don't think that they have had one injury to any of their starters this year. Amazing luck. I hope we get them when we're fully healthy in the playoffs.

Also TP, OP for an insightful post.

Everyone knew that the Wizards were not a better team than the Celtics, the Wizards did not have a good record, and it was clear that it was a fluke. You cannot compare that situation to the Hawks dominating the Celtics this year. I will agree that the Hawks can't beat Cleeland or Orlando, but other than the Celts 1-0 record against the Cavs, they have losing records against the other two and are 2-7 overall against the Eastern iron.
