refs feel the need to get the spotlight....my bet= is kg, P and perk all have 3 at the half while gasoft and kobe have 1 or none

Man - sure hope not. I believe we can overcome the refs...just don't let them get in our heads.

Refs out to get everyone.

Did Van Gundy just say the refs are not going to call traveling one Kobe because he is hurt?

He suggested that they weren't calling a carry as trade off for the fact that he is so injured.  I think/hope VG was being facetious. But it's likely that the refs will give him Kobe treatment

This game is going to be long and painful guys.  Get ready for it.

I love how Wallace swipes at Gasol's waist when the ball was already above his shoulder.

If you are going to get called for a foul, make sure you get your money's worth.  Put Gasol on his rear.

God I hate Jeff Van Gundy.  Can't stand him.  Such a Kobe lover.

If you're going to foul, make it hurt. I never understood the point of fouling on a layup if you're not going to make him feel it.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Can Roy Hobbs do a running diary of the stupid ESPN announcers sucking up to the Lakers for those of us who put on the radio call instead?

Those calls early on have really set the tempo of the game so far.  Knocking Pierce out early was certainly deflating.  C's playing with some hesitency right now.

Call a timeout soon, Doc.

McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."
