can someone explain how we "sign" free agents once the draft is over?
I don't remember how we establish order, it may be first come, first served, one claim per 24 hours.
If you have 12 men, you can't claim anyone without releasing someone else.
Also, people might be operating under a false assumption: injured and suspended players still count for a roster spot, just like in the real league. So unless your guy is overseas, don't try claiming your 13th, injured guy is on "IR."
I never read any rules regarding size of rosters
I was under the assumption that NBA rules applied
Those are NBA rules. There is no IR in the NBA anymore.
I could have sworn that we had a max roster of 12 for this thing, but I can't find it in any of the threads.
But there's definitely no IR anymore. A guy that's out for the season with an injury still counts against the NBA roster max of 15, unless he's released.
So I assume for this exercise, a 13th guy who's injured has to be cut, or someone else has to for there to be room for him.
But again, I never saw anything regarding a 12 person roster size anywhere, NBA rules are 15
