Hey guys, did we forget to add the person we're all tired of, for beating us to a pulp any given day?

"That one random scrub, having his best game of the season"

We've seen 'him' try to beat us in different team outfits nearly every other game this season!

absolutely agree with this - sometimes it is Matt Bonner, sometimes it is Willie Green but it is always someone you wouldn't expect

I think part of that must be the defensive philosophy takes away the best options on the other team, essentially daring the little guys to step up if they can.  Sometimes they answer the call, most often they don't.
Faith and Sports - an essay by Jeff Clark

"Know what I pray for? The strength to change what I can, the inability to accept what I can't, and the incapacity to tell the difference." - Calvin (Bill Watterson)

I agree about those and notice that they are all 2's.  Tells me that whoever defends them is not doing a particularly good job.

When this team was at their best, they were always weak against these guys.

I think this is true for every team because all my friends that like different teams say the same thing. I think it has a lot to do with remembering the handful of games each year when a random person has a good game but this really is bound to happen to anyone, the season is long and there are many scrubs.

Hmm... interesting stuff there.

You know what, maybe it's like... Eddie, for example.

To us, Eddie is the occasional giant-killer. He comes off the bench and when he's hot, people better hide.

Maybe Eddie is our scrub?

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Marty Conlon was a mediocre player who nonetheless killed the Celtics when Conlon was with the Bucks.  Then the Celtics acquired Conlon, and he continued to kill them by playing like crap.

Jared Dudley always plays well against us.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I remember when we signed Jumaine Jones a long time ago because people said he always played well against the Celtics.

Turns out he never saw playing time here and I believe was eventually shipped out of here and I think ended up on the Lakers.

Vince Carter.

I would say Mickael Pietrus over Carter. Pietrus always hits big shots against us and often looks unstoppable. He basically killed us in the 4th quarter of game 7 last year ; we were on a verge of a comeback and he destroyed all our hopes early in the 4th to extend the Magic's lead. Not to mention how good he was during the whole series.

I was surprised but relieved that Van Gundy didn't play him in the 4th yesterday!

Vince Carter.

I would certainly have to agree...he definitely proved me wrong in the Christmas game...I had posted here earlier that he wasn't an efficient scorer, but man that guy gave me and my oldest son fits as we watched that game.

He almost beat us yesterday, by himself. He hit some incredible shots. And he was in foul trouble for nearly a full qtr.

The way he has given Boston trouble this year, yes he goes on the Celtic Killers list.
