Watched ‘Punch-Drunk Love’ for the first time in a few years. Forgot how much I liked it.

Sandler & Philip Seymour Hoffman are both fantastic in it. Sadly, in part because it flopped at the box office, it was quite some time (basically until ‘Uncut Gems’) before we saw Sandler go back to acting in serious dramatic roles.

Great movie. Took me until my latter years to see all sides of this.

Takes only ONE stuck-in-the-past person to hold back a good man...but he didn't - couldn't - hold him back for long.

Mr. Pappy did his best to hold both De Niro and Gooding back - but the cream rises to the top always.

Watched the 1995 movie 12 Monkeys last night.  Interesting in light of what is happening in the world today.  Enjoyed watching Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt in their prime.

Saw Extraction from Netflix and was highly entertained. The acting and story line were okay, but the action was truly enjoyable. You can tell the movie was made by a stuntman turned Director. There was a 20 minute sequence that was awesome. I recommend it if you like the Rambo, Predator type of movies.

Saw first 5-10 minutes and couldn't it watch it any longer

how many times are they going to recycle "abduction" type movies like this??

I thought the Russo brothers (writers) were a bit more creative than this

This is not a movie to see for its screenplay or anything deep. It is a pure entertainment movie but for that I thought it did its job. The uniqueness of the movie was the setting (Bangladesh) and the action scene style, including a 20 minute long shot.

Agree. I'm not really into mindless action films, but this one was put together in a unique way that made it interesting.

I liked the action in Extraction too. I thought it was similar to the action style in John Wick movies. If you haven't seen John Wick and you liked Extraction, then do yourself a favor and see all three John Wick movies.

Doing a Pixar marathon to entertain myself, and I just finished WALL-E. Such a fantastic movie that balances being fun and having a great message. My nostalgia was strong with WALL-E, being the first movie I had seen in a theater, so I'm glad it holds up incredibly well. If it isn't my favorite Disney/Pixar movie, it's really close.

Just saw the movie Wakefield. I just felt like getting a dose of Jennifer Garner she is so lovely, but wow this movie is a real dud. If you ever come across it, save yourself the time.

I gotta be honest, I quite liked both. While the original is certainly more dramatic and well refined, the new one is almost as satisfying. I thought the acting in the newer one wasn't as bad as I thought, I went into the theater with very low expectations.
