Well, we may be winning ugly but we are 11-4. Are we the worst 11-4 team in history though?

It´s only 15 games, either way.

The Celtics had another wonderful night from beyond the arc.

7-27 or 25.9%

Ugh.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

What a resounding victory at home against a 5-9 team!

Yeah but we were playing back to back games away and we were missing 2 of our starters. Oh wait.....

It's been a while since I watched a game live. I'd forgotten how nerve wracking it was.

Nerve-wracking in a fun way I hope!

Haha as fun as nerve-wracking can be I guess. Now I'm moving on to another nail-biter in the making with the Spurs game. Happy Thanksgiving TTLL :-)

And Miami finishes off Orlando! By this time tomorrow we'll either be tied for 1st or 2nd in the East.  Not too shabby all things considered...

Well, Orlando got raped by an uncalled goaltending. Bad form refs, bad form. Nothing unusual, but bad form indeed.

Right, I'm getting myself some shut-eye.

Again, thanks all. Good day and/or night to all of ya.

ZZZzzz...

well, i could not watch the game or follow it on line...

from this thread it seems that most folks are unhappy even with the win, which makes me worry.

please, in a nutshell, how did the celtics play?

thanks in advance.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Seems like Miami has had an exciting finish in every game of theirs I've seen this season.

C's did not play well.   They shot 7-27 from three (again too many 3s and at a poor clip).   They also struggled defensively and allowed Iggy, Kapono and Willie Green to get on track offensively -- the Sixers shot 13-20 from 3.   The C's benefitted from getting to the line 39 times hitting 30).   The C's also struggled on the boards early and even thought they ended up evening the rebounding numbers, the Sixers owned the boards in the first half getting a ton of second chance opportunities early on.
Rondo came to life in the 4th after a lackluster game and it made a difference.  Pierce played great on both ends -- including 2 great steals and 27 points (10-15).  Perk played a very solid first half and then got into foul trouble and was not heard from again until brought in to rebound in the final seconds.  One thing -- the 4th quarter spark occurred with Rondo and House in the backcourt.  I like the way this opens shots for House and in the right circumstances this backcoiurt works.  Eddie missed a couple he usually makes, but did hit a couple key shots also.  Rondo won the game (put C's up by 4) with a ridiculous buzzer beating fadeaway.  An unlikely shot, but a clutch.  He also had a patented Rondo ball fake resulting in an easy layup druign the 4th quarter run.

J Williams with 2 missed free throws is what probably cost them the game. Thats pretty bad. But the rest of his game was pretty unbelievable. I wish we had a back up point guard like that.....or just a back up point guard in general. Orlando has lucked out with that the past couple years. Maybe they are better with Alston or Williams rather than Jameer

Post Game Wrap-Up:

I said the Celtics would not cover the point spread (-13 tonight) and I was right.

I would not commit to O/U because I had no idea of the nature of the game. It turned out to be a high scoring game.

Examining the shot charts showed that the Celtics had to go inside primarily to get their points while Philly could score either inside or outside.

Celtics led the first 14 minutes, and then took the lead for good at the 10 minute mark of the 4th qtr.

Good players - Rondo, Perkins, Garnett, and Pierce

Poor Players - Rasheed (really in a long protracted slump)
Ray Allen, Eddie House, Scalabrine.

Philly showed up to play and kept fighting all the way to the end.

It is important that we win the games within our division and keep our distance from our Atlantic Division rivals.
