surprised the C's are playing such poor defense again tonight.  They destroyed the Suns twice last year but look tired again.  Guys like Lou Amundson are outhustling the C's big men which is never a good sign...

What needs to happen is for Rondo to assert himself more, and everything will take care of itself. We're playing too slow for what we can do against this crappy Suns defense. It's time to tear them apart.

Absolutely.

needs to happen is boston needs to cover the 3 point line and they need to finish around the rim...this is bad basketball to let the suns crap bench dominate...

Hey question.... ican't read through this whole thread right now so it might have already been stated but did or has Grant Hill been booed at all during the game? I was curious after he decided not to come here if we would give him a  mouth full on his visit to the garden

I don't see why we would. He wanted to stay in Phoenix. That's acceptable.

Yeah he is really comfortable with the training staff their, they have extended his career and he has a great climate, starting position and teammates he really enjoys. Why boo a guy for that?

Well our stadium sarcastically chants Scalabrine's name so i don't think it's too far fetched for them to boo grant hill for choosing the suns over Boston. I'm not saying we should i was just curious

Pierce had a terrible game against Minn and another bad first half tonight.  The entire team doesn't appear to have any energy which is strange after a day off and playing at home.  The C's keep switching on D for some reason and are leaving the Suns with wide open shots.  Not what is expected of the best defense in the NBA???

It's hard to Rondo to really assert himself. Doc asks him to pass the ball every time he brings it up court. That really bothers me, honestly.

It's team basketball, look at the passing ability of Pierce and Garnett. We aren't the Hornets

sounds like doc and co. tried to come up with some special defense for the suns and it backfired...just play them man up and stop switching...they are getting caught in the wash and giving the suns good looks at 3s

Doc asks him no such thing. I have no problem with him passing the ball. I have a problem with him playing low energy on offense. He can destroy the Suns defense by himself if he would just take Nash off the dribble. No need to shoot, just get the defense off-balance.

well we'd still have that problem of us giving up easy baskets on defense.  if we'd have been playing defense those last 5 minutes we'd have the lead right now.

Our energy will feed the defense. It works both ways.

Are you joking? Doc's offense is have the PG bring it up court then be a useless apendage. Seriously, unless it's full court half, fast break stuff Rondo always passes it as soon as he crosses half court.

We're paying him to be a PG, distribute the ball and call plays. If he isn't doing that, he's almost worthless.

Down by six at the half of a game full of dropped opportunities of missed lay ups and bunnies while not getting up on their jump shooters; I'll predict this 3rd squares those deficiencies away with conviction!

"Indefatigable on Defense, defines these Celtics"

Exactly, i like what we're doing on offense, we're taking advantage of mismatches and drawing fouls against Hill and Amare. We just need to get back on D and stop playing the pick & roll like a bunch of Shaqs.
