This game is going to work similarly to the PAPOUP games except that it will be for NFL football, you will be picking a team, and you can pick either the over or the under for that team. Here are the rules:
1. A player must choose an NFL team, state what that team's points per game average is and choose whther they think that team will have the highest point differential between what that team scores that week and what their points per game average is.
2. The format for this will be:
playername: team name; points per game average, over or under
i.e.
player1: Patriots, 28.3, over
player2: Dolphins, 25.1, under
3. All players wanting to participate must have their choice in before the kickoff of the very first game's kickoff that week regardless of whether their choice is playing that game or in a later game. So whether kickoff of the week's first game is at Sunday 1:00PM or Saturday 12:30 PM or Thursday 12:00PM all entries must be by that kickoff.
4. All points per game averages for teams must come from the ESPN team offense stats web page. here is the link:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/total/sort/totalPointsPerGame5. Tommy Points will be awarded similar to the PAPOUP game. The weeks winner will be awarded 2/3(whole numbers rounded up) of double the amount of players participating in the game that week. The second place player will be awarded 1/3(whole numbers rounded down) of double the amount of players participating that week. The last place finishedr will receive one TP as a DOODY prize.
i.e.
If 20 players participate in a week then the winner would receive 2/3 of 40 TPs(rounded up) or 27 TPs and second place finished would receive 13 TPS and the last place finisher 1 TP.
6. A player may only make one choice per week and may only choose either the over OR under option. Another player may choose the same team in the same week as another player but may only choose the remaining over/under for that team. A player may not choose the same team on consecutive weeks regardless of the over/under option they chose for that team.
7. Here is an example of how it will work:
player1: Patriots; 28.3, over
player2: Dolphins; 25.1, under
player3: Colts; 28.1, over
player4: Texans; 24.8, over
player5: Dolphins; 25.1 over
player6: Texans; 24.8 under
If the score for the weekend games are:
Patriots 42 Dolphins 17
Colts 31 Texans 30
Then the results would be:
player1: Patriots; 28.3, over 42 = +13.7
player2: Dolphins; 25.1, under 17 = +8.1
player4: Texans; 24.8, over 30 = +5.2
player3: Colts; 28.1, over 31 = +2.9
player6: Texans; 24.8 under 30 = -5.2
player5: Dolphins; 25.1 over 17 = -8.1
Since 6 players played player1 would receive 8 TPs, player2 would receive 4 points and player 5 1 TP for the DOODY.
