Oh please.  LeBron is the best player in the NBA.  He has ratcheted up his defense to pass Kobe.

Perhaps in a Dan marinoish sort of way

Incorrect, Dwyane Wade is the best player in the NBA.

So, would you trade LeBron for DWade straight up?

No, because I know some other GM would foolishly give me more if I asked him to. Except for Pat Riley, he seems to know how good Wade is.

LeBron is Dwayne Wade on steroids (perhaps literally as well as figuratively).

Except not as good an on the ball defender and not as good at taking over games. Or winning Championships.

LeBron will win more than Wade when it's all said and done.

Could not disagree more.

I'll wait to see what they both do in free agency before I take a firm side on that. It could go several different directions

True, but if they were to go to relatively equal situations, I take Wade all day and every day. Often overlooked piece of information, DWade averaged more blocks per game last year than LeBron.

Blocks aren't a very important stat for a 2 or a 3. Similar to steals not representing solid defense.

Normally, yes.  But If your 2 is 6-4 and averaging 1.3 a game while shouldering the offensive load and guarding the other teams best player, that is an indication of how skilled he is.
