Is this on national TV?

ESPN (Channel 30 here in Southern Maine ... ayuh!)

Thanks, man. TP

Gotta rep that 207!

Back atcha ... you further north?

A little.. Bangor. Not too, too far from Portland. I make the trip a few times a month for various reasons. Then from there it aint far from Boston haha.

Now my girlfriend is NORTH, north... All the way up in Presque Isle haha

Both my older Bro and Sis went to Orono, so I spent many weekends up there during prep school, hanging with the "Big Kids" ... Pat's Pizza was the place, man ... as far as Presque Isle, don't know it too well, but one band I was in used to play the Officer's Club at Limestone AFB and a place called King Henry's in Houlton ... man, we played clubs from there to Reno, and King Henry's was one of the hottest, busiest clubs of all ... guess there was not much else to do up there on weekends, lol! I remember driving through Houlton and Presque Isle in the winter, and you couldn't see the houses cuz the snow banks were so high!

Yea, man.. Apparently there's already like a foot or so of snow/slush in Presque Isle. I'd hate, hate to live up there. I know Maine doesn't have "big" cities or anything, but I love both Bangor and Portland as cities. Presque Isle, not so much.

And Pat's Pizza.. Not even fair to bring that up right now haha. I love that place so much. Nothing could ever compare to Orono's Pat's. A lot of good memories from there, I've been going there nearly all my life.

There are a bunch of Pat's now, but nothing compares to Orono ... my sibs and I drive up a couple times a year just for Pat's ... it's that good. And I agree about Bangor and Portland ... all the benefits of a big city, but not so overwhelming, and small enough to still feel friendly. Nothing like the Old Port or Commercial Street on a summer's day, (though I love Harvard Square and the North End in the Spring). I love Boston and New York especially, but it's always nice to down-shift and get back to Maine, (the way life should be).

Yea man, for real. Only thing Bangor and Portland are missing are skyscrapers and billboards. And I think most people can live without those. I came really, really close to moving to Boston recently, stayed with a friend there and just decided against it because I didn't feel like I was missing much more than more people and buildings.

And I completely agree with the Old Port. Love it, as well as downtown Bangor by Wig & Courier and Paddy Murphy's. I'm a sucker for old, antiqueish architecture and in that area it's a real nice atmosphere with all the old buildings and such.

Rashard was banned for DHEA in his system, (raised testosterone levels) ... missing the first 10 games of the season. Too bad, I really love that kid's game ... reminds me so much of Reggie.

I read that as Rasheed for a second.. I got a little worried. Shard, though. Maybe if we still had Gerald he'd come to Boston.

Obscure Celtic Thug references are still good. ;D

Really like Smith, too, (well, his game, I should say) ... I think he's gonna have a big impact this year, if healthy. Have to admit, though ... I have one of those irrational dislikes for all things "Howard" ... especially the lame "Superman" cape dunk contest win ... man, Gerald blew him away, and there's all those NBA brown-nosers waving the 10's after that stupid straight-on  Superman crapola ... and he didn't even DUNK it!!

Not watching the game, but gonna throw out some Maine love real quick.  Not from there, but it is one of the most important places in my life.  One of my best friends is from Bath/Wiscasset area, and  another best friend has had a house in Waldoboro since he was a kid.   I've been there a thousand times with him.

But the main thing is that I've been going there every summer since I was a small child to do some extreme camping out in the middle of nowhere (near to Madison) with my family.  My experience in Maine It is the most spiritual, important time of my life each year and truly what I live for on a yearly basis.  Also the first script I ever wrote was set in Maine, about to Maniacs going out and getting into an adventure in the Maine woods.  I've driven snow mobiles, 4 wheelers, go carts.  I've seen countless moose, deer, mountain lions, bears, eagles, great blue herron, loons, hawks and other birds of all kinds.  I have mastered the Maine accent and spent time chilling on a lobster boat on friendship harbor.  The combination of near unbelievable nature, the laid back lifestyle, and a deeper connection to the land around makes me think that your state motto has always said it best: "Maine, the way life should be."

Good stuff, man. TP.

Atlanta sucks, btw. And this Anderson kid is really good.
