Cuban is very wrong here in voicing any type of support toward steroids......although he is correct in that usage can be very beneficial short-term for an NBA player primarily from a recovery standpoint during long and grueling 82-game schedules.
But that's the only part of steroids he's supporting.
Also, steroids can be used legally for certain medical cases. I had a cousin who had limited steroid therapy when he was 5 - I forget for what since I was only 9, but steroids do have legitimate medical applications and can be used safely.
Cuban doesn't want his players using steroids to slow down the advance of MS or something......these are a completely different type of steroid than performance enhancing steroids that Cuban supports.
But that's the only part of steroids he's supporting.
What a wonderful message to send to our youth.....high school and grammar school kids who are being told by adults that steroids are necessary to compete at the highest level. I am a huge Cuban guy but his statements today are borderline criminal for the message that he wants to send to our children. Disgusting.
