Brett has amazing reflexes ... especially at his age ... so quick, and a quick release from the shoulder.

Why the heck did Minny run a pass play on first and goal, (and like one inch)? Especially with a runner like Peterson ... I don't get that at all, and it totally backfired on them.

They wanted to throw to Harvin for my fantasy team.  ;D I agree, poor play call.

Hey, at least something positive came of it ... besides, Peterson's got enough TD's. ;)

Manning is the epitome of a North-to-South runner ... no time wasted going "around" ... he just picks his route by line-of-sight, and charges straight ahead ... I love that in a kick-returner, (Hester is very similar).

Favre has one of the quickest releases I've ever seen ... it's really amazing, even in slo-mo ... I love to watch him work when he's in a groove. His biggest weakness is his propensity to throw picks, but when he has weapons like he does on this Minny team, he's almost unstoppable.

It's really too bad that Hester has been put in this position, because he's such a great DB, and I think to make a player of his caliber do something that's really not his forte, is such a waste of talent. Chicago needs to invest in some true receivers, and let Hester go back to doing what he does best.

You know George Blanda played unreal quarterback until well into his mid 40's. He was always considered a positive influence on every team he was on. Favre might just be this generation's George Blanda and Johnny Unitas all rolled into one.

Throw a lot of blame at Cutler, and he deserves a lot, but this offensive line is awful. They don't open holes or push off well during runs and they are just plain bad against speed rushers and outside blitzes.

I am just amazed that professional receivers can drop as many passes as they do that are thrown right at them, in their hands, within their body cavity. I follow a lot of high school football and I'm telling you now, you don't see nearly as many dropped passes thrown right at you in high school as you do in the pros.

Blanda was amazing ... and one of my boyhood heros, (along with Starr, Namath, Unitas, etc), and Favre certainly has qualities of both he and Unitas ... and even a little Montana thrown in. Whatever anyone thinks about the guy, he's exciting to watch, and he has done more for the game than most who are still playing ... and has certainly been a worthwhile investment wherever he's gone.

That's true, but they're also not getting the ball thrown at them at the same speed ... these NFL QB's can really rip it, and it takes exceptional hands to hold onto a ball going that fast. I had to play both defensive back and WR in high school, because it was a prep school and we just didn't have enough players, and we played one team that was way out of our class, with a QB who was just phenomenal, who could really throw hard, and trying to pick one of his passes was a whole different world of trouble, only because the ball was travelling so much faster. I got only one pick off the guy in all the games we played over 4 years, (he was a freshman 1st-string QB), and that one pick was a bigger deal to me than all the others put together, simply because the guy was a real power arm, and could really throw a bullet.

Big Ben ... 36 of 38? That's amazing ... he's not the best, but he certainly makes the most of his talents and works very hard ... you have to admire the guy's work ethic and heart.

I am genuinely amazed by Brett Favre this year.  Basically, he's reversed the trend from the last 5 or so years of his career, and has become an ultra-efficient QB.  Strangely, I think Favre has regained a lot of his legacy this year, when many thought he would continue to dampen it.

Cutler does deserve blame, but as you say, the line is absolutely atrocious.  Add to that mediocre receivers, a very poor defense, and a leadership void, and you have your 2009 Chicago Bears.
