Radical idea: sometime in the next few weeks, we frame KG for a crime he didn't commit. Nothing major, just maybe some armed robbery or light treason. KG goes to prison for the first few months of the season. He'll spend his time lifting weights, resting his knee, and getting more and more angry about the travesty of justice inflicted upon him. In the meantime, we'll also get about 30 million in salary cap/luxury tax relief, which we of course use to coax Antoine out of retirement.
Around the All-Star Break or so, evidence is suddenly "discovered" that completely exonerates KG, leading to his immediate release and reinstatement to the NBA. He comes back with a fury never before seen in his career, and with his fresh legs the Celtics look nearly unstoppable.
Then, after the post-break Western swing, KG is approached in the parking lot by a mysterious masked man who sounds a lot like Mike Gorman trying to talk like Batman. The man tells him he was framed by a major conspiracy, and will give him the identity of one of those responsible for each playoff game we win. Coincidentally, each of these individuals will be a player or coach on our series opponent.
An enraged KG crushes all opposition and the Celtics tear through the playoffs, but KG finds no answers from the members of the so-called conspiracy. He suspects a kingpin is out there somewhere, but every lead becomes another dead end. Still, each failure redoubles his drive to win the next game and hopefully be given the piece that will finally solve the twisted puzzle. Until, after sweeping the Finals, KG is preparing to receive the Finals MVP trophy in the ultimate redemption, and making plans to spend his offseason hunting down the man who framed him. Suddenly, a shadowy figure walks quickly by him, only pausing to whisper one word - "Stern..." One superhuman headbutt later, we've got a new commish, the longest standing O in team history, and the NBA is moving toward a new brighter tomorrow.
