There has been a trade:

The Naturals trade:  Chris Bosh, John Salmons

Rondo2287 trades:  Deron Williams, Ron Artest

Blockbuster!

Seems pretty even at first glance. Some minor risk on each end, but each team got talent.

By my count, the following teams have yet to trim down their rosters to 16:

Lucky17
Gainesville Celtic
Gomesfan
blake (now at 17 since last posted final roster)
Wide Loaders
Larrybird17
Walker Wiggle

I won't make guesses on which players should be kept and which won't. I will simply cut rookies from your teams to get under the 16-man limit. If some of you don't get your rosters set, these cuts are going to hurt.

Clock is ticking. Less than 12 hours remain.

Ya I think it was pretty even, I think artest will have a little drop in numbers playing with all the talent and scorers out in LA and I think Salmons will be consistant so they should be about equal.  And the great thing was that Roy and I had very complimentary rosters to make a move so it was quite painless.

What's the hurry since we have another five weeks?

If we're really going to start November 9th (yes, I'm bummed) why not also push back the roster cuts and waiver pick ups?

Because I'm tired of having to use the blog for this. I want everything moved over to Yahoo!, where all league activity can take place.

Oof. Both teams fill positions of need. I give the edge to the Naturals, but that said I do love having players in contract years.

I agree, I think (At least for me) it is easier to trade and see your roster when you can see it on their site.  plus, now that trades are happening the google doc isnt up to date.

the sooner the better over on yahoo

I like the trade for Roy because I think Williams is the best player in that deal.  IO also think Artest has a good possibility of being better than Salmons.  I think Roy is selling high on Salmons which is smart...Artest's numbers will probably stay the same or better being surrounded by better players.

only time will tell

For the record:
For the record, Yahoo Rankings:

10. Bosh
14. D. Williams
71. Salmons
86. Artest

And in most cases when a player goes from a team with lesser talent to a team with more talent their offensive numbers go down.  I dont think Artest will score as much with players like Kobe and Gasol on the team.

However I do think this was a very fair trade.  I still think Artest and Salmons are going to be around even numbers at the end of the year.  Bosh and Williams will put up different numbers but I think will be equally valuable to Roy and I's teams.

Those ranking don't take into account our leagues settings yet.

Yes, that may be their rankings, however when you throw in different scoring systems, basing something on the original rankings is not effective.

Secondly, by his numbers, I meant fantasy impact.  I think things like his shooting percentage, assists etc will go up as he gets more open looks/ better players around him.  even if his scoring goes down, his overall numbers could be better.  thats my view, time will tell whether it was a good deal or not, DWill could break his leg tomorrow and the deal would be a steal for you.  who knows.

edit: looks like kwhit beat me to it
