Paul Pierce

Sadly I don't think he will be a HoF'er without at least 2 more rings.
He'll get in if he plays for another 2 years at a high level, and another year or two as an older role player.

Adam Viniateri! Doug Flutie!

Sacrilidge!

Doug Fluite, most overrated football player ever. He also crossed the picket lines, so he loses even more points.

Vinatieri on the other hand should make on his clutchness alone, but you really have to do some crazy stuff stuff to make is as a kicker.

I'd be OK with V in the HOF.

Christian Bale (well he didn't get an Oscar)

Christian Bale is the best movie-actor of his generation, imo.

The Basketball HOF has a pretty low bar for entry.

Apparently, not low enough for DJ... >:(
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

The Basketball HoF is ridiculous. They have two different standards for US borne players and everyone else. Then you have the fact that they have more "contributors" than players in there....

DJ'll get in - the Vets'll put him in if the voters don't.  But I think the main reason it seems like such a travesty is because we see the other guys who get in (and of course because he's passed).  If the HOF was even a little more selective, DJ would belong in the Hall of Very Good.  With the bar they have he absolutely deserves it though.

Some others:

Andy Roddick

Tim Hardaway

Ultimate Warrior

The 72-73 Celtics

The Departed

Andy Roddick would just be in the hall of very good right now, but he has the chance to get past it. Three more years of top 10 tennis and another break through at a major would probably do it. Probably won't happen, but that Wimbeldon match was epic.

Kanye has some good stuff, but I think Eminem can also be added to the list.  He has some of the best and most creative lyrics.  He's got songs that you have to listen to the words and get some meaning out of it.  Unfortunately, his material got old pretty quickly and he never changed it, just stayed with the insults to whoever messes with his panties.

Youk's too early in his career to tell I think
Youk is 30 years old, doesn't have a career batting average above .300, doesn't have 100 career home runs, and doesn't have 400 career RBI's. I see the chances of him going to the Hall being as good as him growing hair back on the top of his head.

Agreed, unless he can somehow sustain his last few years production for til he's 40.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
For some reason I immediately thought of Jared ALlen and Julius Peppers.
