If Parcells is on there for the Pats then let's not forget that a very famous coach did the exact same thing to the Pats before The Tuna did. Chuck Fairbanks anyone? Had probably the greatest collection of talent ever put together one one Patriots team and left as they were going to the playoffs to become the coach of the University of Colorado.

Another Patriot that was hated, though also loved, was Irving Fryar. He left games early to get into car accidents, got into fights in Providence bars, and caused all sorts of locker room problems.

As for non Patriots that were hated was anyone more hated than Jack Tatum? He crippled Darryl Stingley with a cheap hit in a pre-season game and then went on to brag about it, make money in a book deal on it and built his whole reputation around it.

BTW, for those too young to know who Ben Dreith was he was the ref that in 1976 kept the Pats from beating the Raiders in the playoffs and earning their first AFC Championship game by throwing a flag on a horrible roughing the passer call on Sugar Bear Hamilton for hitting Ken Stabler on a 4th and goal with almost no time left in the game and gave the Raiders the chance to win the game and they went on to win the Superbowl. Thank you tuck rule for revenge.
