Tony Allen for Chucky Atkins?

Minny has no shooting guards. Atkins stinks, which means they might take Tony for him. It maintains our expiring contract combination flexibility. He's a PG who can handle and shoot (but no D).

i understand ur wanting to root for the guy, but say u hope some1 gets injured in order to get his shot....especially when those "some1's" are ray and pierce   he will just have to bust his butt in practice and earn minutes the old fashion way.

I have nothing against you, but yeah, when someone wishes to God for members of their so-called favorite team to get injured I question if they are really a fan.  Yes.

As the roster stands now(add Daniels for 1.9 Biannual) then Tony Allen is bound to get minutes. House, Tony, Daniels, BBD, Sheed.
Now if he goes and proves himself turnover prone with no bball iq, then expect Daniels to slide down to SG and Bill Walker get minutes.

Chucky Atkins has a partially guaranteed contract, so they can waive him and save a lot of money. I doubt Kahn gives up that option without getting someone a lot more valuable than Tony Allen in return.

I'd like Danny to sell Tony Allen to a team below the cap. Just give them $3mil so they can waive Tony, and pocket $500k for their troubles. Open up the roster spot and bring in a proven wing to backup Marquis Daniels off the bench.

Can we get a trade exception for that maneuver? I think we have to pick up a 2nd round pick as a bare minimum.
