Truly horrible stuff on both sides.

1st and 2nd, no out. Woodward can't get down a bunt.

Francona's pinch running Buchholz.

Third base coach sending Buchholz.

Buchholz slips and is out on a bit of a mis-read.

Washington leaving in Francisco, bater, after batter, after batter, after batter.

That should make that last half inning a tutorial on how NOT to manage a baseball team.

THis is the biggest win of the year, hands down. Lester was pitching and they cant afford to keep losing his great starts, he didnt have his best stuff and still struck out 11 basically with his cutter as his only consistent pitch.

The way they took the lead was great, they havent had many wins where theyve come back because the offense has been so bad. Thats Victors second HUGE hit since being here, he had the 2 run homer in NY but Bard blew the lead and now tonight. If they had lost tonight they are a 1/2 game back with Penny and Tazawa pitching in that stadium the next two games.

Just a great, great win.

It does suck though because I was a huge fan of him putting in Buccholz to pinch run.  He is faster than ellsbury, so it sucks for me that it didnt work out cause I have wanted him to do it for a while, but I dont think it will everrrrrr happen again

About time we got one of those old time comeback victories. This saved our season so far. One think about that Francisco closer - he is an all or nothing type pitcher. Tonight he had nothing.

Red Sox go forward from here.

Papi and Victor did it for us. ....

Buccholz just couldn't see the ball on its way off the wall...

I can appreciate the idea of having a fast guy like Buccholz at second, but running bases and running a sprint are different challenges.

Ya I know, as they have said the problem really wasnt the fact that he lost the ball but more that it bounced right up into his hand.  And then he had a bullet to the cutoff man and a good relay.  I would say 9 times out of 10 he scores on that play, right?

But I can say I know running is different than a sprint, but do you think vtek would have been safe?  Obviously v-mart saved tito, but I don think this was a horrible move.  I think it was a risky  move that didnt pay off.  And not risky because it wasnt smart but risky because it was unconventional
