Im thinking Big Al/Okafor/Scola will all be better than him, but Bynum, will probably have hurt his knee again by the all star game so it wont be an issue
;D

A mild breeze will come through Staples and injure him.

I bet that he misses all their Memphis games for the rest of his career.

Will Yao Ming be left off the ballot?

If Yao is left off the list, I think it'll be between Bynum and Oden for the starting spot, with Bynum being the frontrunner because he's further along in his development right now.

I don't see any problems with this situation. If Bynum was in the East last season playing for a lesser team than the Lakers, like the Miami Heat, I reckon he would have been an All-Star last season.

All it takes is a big year from Oden or Amare.

I think some of you guys who are putting up your Western Conference All-Star teams are forgetting how the system is set up. You get to vote for 2 guards, 2 forwards and 1 center. Iy doesn't matter if the 2 guards are both PGs or SGs. It doesn't matter if the 2 forwards are both SFs or PFs. But what does matter is you can only vote for centers who are in the list of centers provided unless you write a vote in.

Her was the eligible player breakdown per position:

CENTER
Andris Biedrins, Golden State
Andrew Bynum, LA Lakers
Marcus Camby, LA Clippers
Tyson Chandler, New Orleans
Nick Collison, Oklahoma City
Al Jefferson, Minnesota
Chris Kaman, LA Clippers
Brad Miller, Sacramento
Greg Oden, Portland
Mehmet Okur, Utah
Shaquille O’Neal, Phoenix
Yao Ming, Houston

FORWARDS

LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland
Carmelo Anthony, Denver
Ron Artest, Houston
Shane Battier, Houston
Carlos Boozer, Utah
Bruce Bowen, San Antonio
Tim Duncan, San Antonio
Pau Gasol, LA Lakers
Rudy Gay, Memphis
Grant Hill, Phoenix
Josh Howard, Dallas
Andrei Kirilenko, Utah
Kevin Love, Minnesota
Corey Maggette, Golden State
Kenyon Martin, Denver
Mike Miller, Minnesota
Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas
Lamar Odom, LA Lakers
Luis Scola, Houston
Peja Stojakovic, New Orleans
Amar’e Stoudemire, Phoenix
Al Thornton, LA Clippers
David West, New Orleans
Chris Wilcox, Oklahoma City

GUARDS
Rafer Alston, Houston
Leandro Barbosa, Phoenix
Raja Bell, Phoenix
Kobe Bryant, LA Lakers
Michael Conley, Memphis
Baron Davis, LA Clippers
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City
Monta Ellis, Golden State
Derek Fisher, LA Lakers
Manu Ginobili, San Antonio
**Allen Iverson, Denver
Stephen Jackson, Golden State
Jason Kidd, Dallas
Kevin Martin, Sacramento
O.J. Mayo, Memphis
Tracy McGrady, Houston
Steve Nash, Phoenix
Tony Parker, San Antonio
Chris Paul, New Orleans
Brandon Roy, Portland
J.R. Smith, Denver
Jason Terry, Dallas
Beno Udrih, Sacramento
Deron Williams, Utah

As you can see Amare, Dirk, Pau and TD are all listed as FORWARDS. They have been for years and years. They will not be voted in as a CENTER. Also notice that from the CENTERS Yao, Shaq, Chandler, and Miller will probably not be on the Western Conference Ballot. I would, however, expect the additions of Emeka Okafor, Spencer Hawes, and Joel Przybilla.

If he is going to get injured anyways, why not at the All-Star game?

That would be ironic in some ways, imagine if a player from Memphis made the all star game and went crashing into his knee? Or if Kobe did it again.

When was the last time anyone got hurt in an all-star game, anyway?

I think its between Bynum and Big Al next year in West voting and Bynum will win due to hype and the bigger market.

Bynum is not an All-Star caliber player.

Give him 3 more un-injured years going for 20/10
and then one should re-consider, otherwise its a moot point.

Since when did that matter in the fan voting?
