The Bulls have negotiated a buyout of Tim Thomas's $6.5 million contract, according to Bulls.com.

I remember not to long ago Thomas claiming he would love to come play for us. Why not have him as the 4th big man? What you guys think?

I would be all for this.  Not only could he be a backup PF, but he also could see some minutes at SF.  He would be a decent pickup, if he is willing to come for the vet min.  Although I would like to see them get another low post player, even if its someone like Swift, or taking a flyer on Powe.

I'm kind of meh on Thomas. He's like a more talented Scal but with less heart and effort. Though I'd be willing to give him mimimum.

Yes he is lazy. But you can't deny his talent. Come on in Tim.

Yeah, he is talented and could bring a lot to the team but this is a big "if"... And I think even the Big Three wouldn't be enough to motivate Tim Thomas, so I'll pass on him. He could be a Plan D option though.

Agreed, don't bother with him. His only time on the floor was a disaster for the Bulls during the first round playoff series.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I don't like him personally, and would prefer Nocioni, but he's better than most of the other options on the market.

Not sold on Thomas.

I think the solution for a back up 3/2 is not a free agent.  I think we are truly looking at a trade and I think BBD will be part of that trade.
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.
