This wouldnt actually be as crazy as it sounds. The Clippers were 27th last year in scoring and they just traded last years's leading scoring in Randolph. Plus when your competing in the same building as the champs, you get as much star power as you can get. Between Iverson, Baron, and the number 1 pick Blake Griffin, they shouldnt have trouble selling tickets.

How fitting for a career that has spiralled down the drain.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Smart move by the Clippers, at least in an economic sense.

AI will still put people in the seats.  From a basketball standpoint, I'm not sure it'd be that effective, though.  That team still appears to be on the track to mediocrity.
I really don't think this is true anymore. Its not like Detroit was selling out, or Philly when he was last there. Winning tends to fill arenas far more than stars. Now merchandise peddling, that requires star players.

TV Ad revenue -> Ticket revenue. Of course they are usually correllated, but even if Iverson doesn't sell tickets, he's still a big international draw, and that would sell ad-space as well as merchandise.

It's been years since he was relevant and people are still rocking Iverson jerseys here in Hong Kong.
