Good luck to Marbury.  He was never able to perform in the role he was given in Boston.  He played good defense for the most part, but wasn't able to contribute anything else.

Celtics paid like $500k for a player that helped win a game 5 of a 2-2 series in the second round of the NBA playoffs. Not to mention how he was going off in game 1 before being benched for the entire second half.

How many playoff games have you help the Celtics win?

None of that changes that he underperformed while here and didn't earn a bigger contract than the minimum, which he has turned down.

hopefully he'll be able to get back on track, where ever he lands.

Put me down as being disappointed that we have not retained the services of Marbury yet.  While he may not have lived up to expectations last season (there were a few bright spots), I do believe that he would contribute a lot more with a summer workout plan and Celtics training camp.

We aren't going to find a much better back-up PG.  I hope he reconsiders out offer and comes back for a run at a ring.

Keep the faith,

How about every other single playoff game where he was a minus and then was pulled off the court to get Rondo back in on his bad angles.

If you're going to pump his one good game, don't forget all the bad ones. If Marbury were willing to come back at a veteran's minimum deal to play 10 minutes a game I'd be happy. But everything he's said is that he expects more money and more minutes than the Celtics can offer.
