People who try to make the argument of "You've already made (X) amount of dollars, why can't you just play for (x)?" clearly have no idea how the world works.

There is a little thing I like to call upkeep. The more expensive your lifestyle, the more it costs to maintain everything.
It comes down to the price Hill puts on a championship (as well as his playoff share) plus the Celtics offer vs the Knicks money. For a vet who's never won a championship I bet it's worth the three million dollar difference ( I believe playoff shares are a couple hundred thousand dollars).
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Sheed had no better offers?  I highly doubt it.  I would like to know how you came to this conclusion or are you implying that by Boston adding the 3rd year is what put them over the top which again is pretty hard to prove.  I would venture to guess the full court press ( everyone going to his house ) is what put Boston over the top.

Is the Sheed signing luck or did Danny play this one right?

Anyway Hill not signing is no biggie to to be honest.

I really don't think Hill wants to come here.  If you're seriously thinking about going to a winning team or a losing team?  Come on!  He doesn't want to come here.  Plus, this stuff about his wife and her singing career in NY is bunk, because why are they now considering Phoenix?

And Grant has made probably over $100 Million in his career so I doubt he needs money.

I agree. I think if he wanted to come here, he would have decided to do so already. I say he stays in PHX.  No way does he go to the Knicks.

You think Sheed had offers better than 3 years at the MLE? From whom?

Isn't it obvious how I came to that conclusion? Who else made him offers? What did they have available? We game him the max we could based on this year's MLE.

The crap being thrown around here about Hill is quite disgusting, considering he's one of the classiest guys in the NBA one of the really good guys out there. And we call ourselves the best fans of the game...

There is no guarantee he even gets a championship here. All that is guaranteed is the contract and that his wife will be with him.

I would guarantee the C's have a hell of a better chance of winning a ring then Hill would have with the Knicks with a one year deal. It's the thought of competing for a title that's the guaranteed draw, because this team will absolutely 100% make the playoffs. With the Knicks that's no guarantee.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Every team has their share of angry fans and haters.

Or they have their opinions. I don't think name calling is allowed.  Name calling of players is though from what I can tell.

I think the Spurs and Cleveland wanted Sheed bad.

he is doing what he should......taking his time, thinking, consulting the interested teams, and considering both his professional and family life in the decision. its a personal decision and he is a classy guy.  he will do what he feels is best for him and his situation. its ok to be disappointed, but he hasnt done anything disrespectful to deserve the hate.

No need to bash the guy because he doesn't want to come here.  Yes winning is the main goal of the game, but I'd put my family first over winning an NBA title.  If he comes to the C's, maybe the Suns and Knicks fans will bash him for being a selfish ring chaser.  Either way Hill will get bashed by some fan base.

We all know they did. But they could only make equivalent offers.

If Hill chooses Pheonix in the end because of his "buddy" Steve Nash, he will get neither the NYC gig for his wife nor a championship. Just money, and he has plenty of that. I really don't want him anymore, because the decision is obvious: Ring = C's; Money = whatever. If he hasn't made up his made after the Suns were kicked out of the playoffs, I just don't think he could really give us what we need considering his mindset.

There is no way that any of us can get inside the mind of Grant Hill.  By all appearances, this is a great guy who is well thought of by the majority of the league.  If he, for whatever reason, goes a different route then fine.  I'm not going to hate on him...I just won't understand it.

Or maybe Less money, frustrated wife, and playoff elimination = C's.

Not so obvious.
