Wow...  the amount of discussion has already died down in day three.  It's gonna be pretty barren by Day 12, huh?

I didn't want to draft Conley there.  I had a possible deal to move back in the 3rd to a point where I believed I would still get him.

But, if the trade did not go down, I really didn't want to wait.  Not only did his number become very good once the team got rid of Lowry making it clear he was the number 1 PG, he and Oden seem to have some sort of history and chemistry together.  Along with a strong rebound, good mid range shooting PF, I am liking this future team.  With 4 more picks this week, I am happy where I sit considering where my first pick was.

I was in the same situation with Biedrins yesterday. I felt 10th was too high to take him and kept moving down. Then when a run started on big men I had to move back up to nab him. But Conley could be a star this year and there seemed to be a run on PGs so it could be a great choice in retrospect.

Yeah good stuff Rondo2287.

don't forget, ORLANDO holds three 4th rounders and is happily giving out TPs for solid offers.

we have at least two very good offers (better than for some 3rd rounders being discussed) and will try and make a decision quickly this evening.

Denver would like to announce the hiring of it's new head coach, Larry Brown.

Brown has done a good job in the past helping PGs reach their potential and we expect him to do the same with Conley.  Also, we expect he will instill the high level of defense this young team will need to compete now and in the future.

Regarding offers:  The minimum we're considering is our #3 for a #3 / #6 (and that may not get it done) or a #4 / #5.

That's the cost, although honestly, we think we're going to take one of the perennial all-stars left on the board.

Denver would like to announce the hiring of it's new head coach, Larry Brown.

Brown is already on the phone imploring Denver's front office to trade Conley for a package of Raja Bell and Anthony Carter.

In other news, Houston is yet another team that rates Eric Gordon very highly.
