Nuggets select Oden, Greg

This pick could be absolutely brilliant, or you could be the leading contender for the "worst pick in the first round" award.

Even in limited minutes, his PER last year was higher the Durrant in his rookie season.

Ive been thinking about the al jefferson and pau gasol frontcourt.  I think this years celtic's frontcourt assuming KG is healthy is better.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Is anyone offering a 2nd and 3rd for a first?  I lost the man I was hoping for.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I don't like this pick at this spot at all. Far too early for a questionable, injury prone Center that can't give you more than 25 minutes a game.

Greg Oden...I am intrigued to say the least.

Who says you can't?  They started him on limited minutes last year.  I would bet the minutes go up this year.

Plus at this point, he was the only "Franchise" potential player left.  I don't want to build around top level roll plays just to sneak into the playoffs.

I dunno when you hacked my computer or how you covered your tracks but if you continue to disseminate classified Phoenix Suns information and strategies, we will sue you. And Roy will represent us.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Oden is a fantastic NBA 2k9 pick!

In all seriousness I like the pick. If nothing else you have a big body down low who can finish and can block shots. I've never understood why there was such hate on him this past year, I thought he played OK.

He only started 39 games last year at a little over 20 minutes a game.  Huge reach, but it could turn out okay.

I disagree, he was out of shape and foul prone Perk (first 3 years) style last season. This is a gamble that could be huge or a disaster. my money's on the latter although I think Oden will be a heck of a player in 4 years.

If that is the production I get out of him when he is out of shape, wait till we get him in shape.

By the way, the Nuggets have hired Patrick Ewing to be the big mans coach.
