ctrl F saves lives.
Or make an Excel spreadsheet and update it every night and live when you're picking....if you can. I happen to be my own boss so I can multi-task and not have someone looking over my shoulder. I know that's not something we all can do.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Also, I never justified the McRoberts pick, who I think is one of those guys we're gonna talk about next year when people say "You can't get any players in the late rounds" Yes. I went there.

"I've been hearing rumors about how Josh McRoberts(notes) has been living in the weight room this offseason. I saw it with my own eyes when I ran into him at Conseco Fieldhouse earlier this week. McRoberts said he's put on 20 pounds of muscle since the end of the season. The Pacers plan to do their best to re-sign McRoberts, who appeared in 33 games last season. A Pacers official told me they envision McRoberts being like Denver's Birdman. They like McRoberts' athleticism, energy and rebounding off the bench."

Quote from: Yahoo News
"We are very pleased to have Josh back," Pacers President of Basketball Larry Bird said. "He's another player who fits into the core group of guys we want to build around."

Quote from: I made this one up.
"People might call me crazy, but Josh McRoberts was out number one priority this off season. Any GM in a Fake Draft during July would be amazingly lucky to grab him in the 11th round." Jim O'Brien gushed to press members on Tuesday.

I think he's gonna get serious PT this year for them. He had really limited mins last year, so his 18.79 PER doesn't mean much, but Larry Bird is talking about this kid like Joe Dumars talked about Amir Johnson.

Although...Amir Johnson didn't do much this season...

If you haven't looked the Bulls have a great 8 man rotation, but only 8 players total. Willing to discuss trades. Not looking for garbage picks, but decent players for an upgrade for you. Our first rounders CP3 and Pau Gasol are essentially off limits. Our high 2nd Horford, we'd have to be wowed to move. Our other 2nd Gerald Wallace, our 3rd rounder Luis Scola and our 5th rounder Raja Bell are available for decent offers. Our young pg George Hill and our rookie Forward James Johnson are also available. Make some offers.
So to translate this into non-jr speak that basically means he will trade you George Hill and James Johnson if you offer him borderline All-Stars. He will offer you Gerald Wallace and Al Horford but only if you include a current All-Star and a currently starting NBA player. And CP3 and Gasol can't be had even if you offered LeBron and Dwight Howard because they aren't nearly as good as his current stars.

[dang], and my offers were called crappy!!!!!!!

I think I might have made over 30 trades with over 20 teams, but none with your team. Doesn't seem like I'm unwilling to trade. You just make offers that make no sense to me. Not sure why you want to be snide here. When you posted tons of ads offering a 12, 13, 14, and 15 for a 9, I didn't dog you in this thread. You wanted to make a trade with me, so I offered my 2nd and 3rd rounders for Martin (not sure if he was late first or early 2nd). Sorry for the crazy offer.  ::)
Actually, I think it was you who was snide and a bit insulting publicly in this thread:

Someone offer me a trade please. Even a crappy one (except Nick. You're at your limit  :P )

I make all sorts of offers. Some I start at a more than fair position because I feel I am in a serious need. Others I start off purposely low because I am not in great need. The art of the deal. Bid low, ask high, work towards the middle.

Most of what you saw on the thread were advertisements trying to generate sales traffic. Get enough traffic and make enough offers and if you can close 10% of your offers in deals that you are happy with, you'll end up a rich man. Sales 101.

Most, though not all owners here, understand that not every offer is not going to make sense for them and some offers they are going to see zero value in. They are courteous and polite and simply decline nicely. Others have to go public in the thread and start insulting offers that came their way. So be it. But once you've decided to be un-gentleman-like about a business transaction, don't expect me to send you flowers and be nice.

This has nothing to do with one specific PM or offer. It has to do with attitude, business etiquette and communication. Don't like my offers, fine. Want to be semi-insulting in PMs, fine. I have no problem. What's between us in private communiques is our business alone. Come forward and be insulting in the public thread. Expect retaliation.

It's a very simple process to grasp. Some do, some don't.

Did you miss the  :P ?  I get horrendous offers from you on the daily. When I make offers to you, you say not in a bazillion years or sound like someone shot your dog. That's why I stopped making offers to you. I will cease to joke around with you.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

They love McRoberts in Indy.  He does look bigger, and he does some little things nicely, but the big things poorly.  You're looking at a bigger Scal, circa his Nets days, but if he can put up 10 and 5 with a block, which is possible, given Indy's terrible big man situation right now, you'd be getting great value.

Of course, there is also the option that he gets lost in the pack of new bigs and drops minutes to Solomon Jones and Ryan Hollins.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

vegas will get to it, vegas got caught up in crap he had to do around the house once he got home. vegas also says cntr-F would have solved this problem. 8)

but vegas is only 6 days away from leaving his place of employment to go to law school  ;D  ;D ;D, so vegas should have plenty of time to do it at work tomorrow.

Don't tell anyone, but vegas has pretty much already checked out mentally at work and will be surfing the web alot the next 6 days  ;)
