I like the player, but think he was a reach at this point.
Agreed, he was on my board but further down than some other guys, who are still available.

Yea, playing on the magic has overrated the heck out of this kid, IMO.

he's a good premiter defender who can knock down a shot for you, but he's not a 2nd tier SG...yet, he certainly has potential, but still a reach. I expected to see him go in mid 5th or early 6th.

Well as we've noticed, you don't take youth and potential into account. :P But c'mon man, he has a huge injury... TO HIS FACE! He'd fit right in on your team.

Deng was a good pick...Maggette I'm not sure about, I don't know what he'll put up at this point of his career, could end up being a steal, could end up giving you 7th round value.  I personally think he'll be solid, but he's a wild card.
He averaged 18.6 points last year, I think he still had it.

Yeah, he can score, but I wonder if there are chemistry issues there.  I feel like he's never really been in a happy, winning situation.  I always feel like he's on the borderline of a breakdown.  I'm not bashing your pick, because I do think he'll be solid, but I also think there's a significant risk he falls off.  Just my opinion.
I know you weren't bashing my pick. As far as never being on the winning team I think that changes this year. I think Golden State will be a surprise team this year.

Correction on that last trade.  5(26) not 5(24) is going to San Antonio.

Plus, I think there was a bigger hole to fill and few good patches left out there.

However, in his second year he's going to be there main option on the wing. I think moving to a worse team in his second year his numbers will dramatically increase.

Any chance that Chicago *doesn't* take it's 20+ minutes here?

(I miss the "10 minute rule" of drafts past. ;))

It was a joke because of his TJ ford comment yesterday.  And I do value youth and potential, but to quote Mike Gorman after the Celts beat up on the trailblazers, "Its one thing to be young and full of promise, its another thing to be good."
