I'd love to add Matt Barnes.  Sheed & Barnes coming off the bench would be sweet.

Potential Boston Bench

PG: Starbury
SG: House
SF: Barnes
PF: BBD
 C: Rasheed

Thats probably the best bench in the league. Along with the best starting 5 in the league.

Love it!  Now all we have to do is get Sheed signed. :-\

Matt Barnes is a very poor defensive player. He is a tweener and a decent but streaky jump shot.

Not someone I want the Celtics to have to depend on in the playoffs.

heck, that team might even make the playoffs by themselves.

If we could get Wafer I'd want him.  Parker wouldn't be bad either.  Then trade Tony and Scal for a backup 3 with a long contract.  (Maybe a guy in New Orleans?)

Rondo/House/Pruitt
Ray/Wafer/Giddens
Pierce/Posey/Walker
KG/BBD/Powe??
Perk/Sheed/Swift

I would love that team.  And with Rondo, Wafer, BBD and Perk it would give the team 4 out of 5 starters for the post Big Three Era.

Wafer might be a 2-3 mil a year guy, if he settles for 1.8mil he could be our guy.

i'd take wafer of all the three. but with what contract? LLE? leaves us with only vet mins from there. maybe ross would be enough on the swing side -- but man, we're back to no real back-up for pierce (yes yes, billy walker, giddens blah blah -- i mean with experience)....

If we get Sheed, maybe NO does a sign and trade: Posey for BBD. Or maybe they take some expiring deals for Posey.

Matt Barnes is a decent defender and can provide some offense when Pierce is resting.

I'm pretty sure we have several targets after Hill, but I just want to get it done quickly.

Barnes first, and then Parker.

The problem is, I'm not sure we have enough money to offer them what they consider an attractive contract.
