Sucks for the Rockets, can never catch a break. Losing both Mutumbo and Yao in one season leaves them completely depleted up front. They were playing Scola/Hayes on Gasol/Bynum in the 2nd round I believe.

What really sucks for the Rockets(and Yao) is all those summers they were asking China to let Yao take the summer off and they wouldn't allow it. Looks like all those summers have finally caught up

To be honest I don't think it would've mattered. The Lakers coasted more than anyone and really let their guard down when Yao went out. Probably the only difference would be the disparity in the scores and they wouldn't trade asskickings back and forth, but the Lakers would have still won in 7 imo

I think this makes it more likely Artest leaves Houston.

I just hope he can take the time needed to avoid chronic problems. Big Z had huge issues like this for years and managed to put together a nice relatively injury free end to his career. I hope Yao can pull off something similar.

And that we see a T-Mac Trade I think Houston should just Rebuild they have talented players who im sure they would get very good value for..
