Take the Faux Hawks, Wiggle. We've got the better imaginary fans.

Plus, if there's no imaginary Cuban, the Fake Mavs are nowhere near as fun.

Ha, Lucky! TP for the "Faux Hawks" line. But I have no affection for the city of Atlanta. If it's ok with you Don, I'll call dibs on whatever franchise shakes loose after the Celtics are handed out.

That works.

Looks like I'm the T-Wolves. The first thing I'm gonna do is put together a secret deal with Joe Smith and blow off some draft picks for the next five years.

Note to self, draft Joe Smith.

I plan to draft Delonte in round 1 if I pick before Edgar and then flip him for a 1st rounder and a second rounder.

Then I draft Joe Smith and trade him for some more picks. ;D ;D

a little off-topic, but how many posts do you need to have your inbox capacity increased?  i'm at 600 or so posts but can still only get 50 msgs....  ???

I don't necessarily think its a post thing that increases it.

I'd check with Roy.

I thought that was what he or Wdleehi said last year... So I've done a lot of posting and saying nothing in prep for this years draft :)

Early reports out of Memphis is that General Manager KCatthestripe nearly had found his assistant GM until both parties realized that the candidate was already a GM of another team.

When asked about this mistake Atthestripe said, " WHat, you epected anything different?"

The season is off to a rip roaring start.  ;)

The southeast division is gonna miss KCattheStripe.

I figured taking a job with your team would be a good way to get some intel on your draft strategy!  TP for you....

I have no problem switching my franchise with Walker Wiggle if he wants the Wiz. Of course it will be at the cost of a third round draft pick.

well played good sir, well played :D

I agree, and because I'm prone to hubris I did consider it. But in a rare moment of good sense I'm going to decline. Worst case scenario, I'll again be awarded one of the NBA's also-rans, relocate it to Middle Earth and name it after myself.

You're just gonna miss someone to fleece Rodney Stuckey off of.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
In the first press conference of the year, The Fake Phoenix Suns General Manager Jesse 'The Body' Ventura had only this to say, while wearing a hot pink ripped tank top and lycra form fitting shorts.

Quote
This year the Fake Phoenix Suns will not be satisfied with just a "playoff appearance". No more will we hedge our bets on mediocre role players that because of their age may or may not have upside. This year, we're coming out swinging, and fair warning to the Flamingos up there in Las Vegas....this season, don't bet on the house. We're coming for the Pink Birds. We're coming for the so called 'warriors', we're coming for the queens, and nobody ever cares about the Clippers. Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat!

Quite the strong comments from Fake Phoenix mouthpiece Jesse Ventura, calls to Fake Suns' owner Classy Freddy Blassie were not returned.

"You've gotta respect a 15-percent 3-point shooter. A guy
like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

I think the rules/directions/idea of the draft need to be restated and more CLEARLY defined. Last year I got conflicting info on what the goals of each GM should be until about pick 4. For a while last year I was understanding this to be a rotisserie league. I think it would benefit the new owners as well to see this just to make sure there is no confusion.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...
