I am beyond skeptical about this, but one way to make it happen is sign & trades with both Odom and Ariza. Those 2 are arguably the cream of the free agent crop. Getting Odom gives you about 80% of what Amare provides. Then you have Ariza, who is a premier defender and emerging offensive force (over 50% from 3 in the playoffs).I could see Phoenix making this trade. And it makes a lot of sense for LA too. Bad times all around for us if it goes down.

But, seriously, I don't see how or why Phoenix would make this trade. If they really want Ariza, which I doubt, they could just sign him. No need for this sign and trade nonsense. As for Odom, he's already getting up there in age. How does he fit into Phoenix's long term plans?Golden State can offer a much better package, including Biedrins, who is a young promising center, and Cury, who is bound to be a good scorer in the league for many years. This is a pipe dream for L.A. But, seeing how they got Gasol, anything can happen. The whole league is probably fixed!

What gives you the impression they'll let him go? I completely disagree with you.
Healthy C's > Lakers.
