Well since we're talking *Laker terms* the trade will go as such. Vujacic to Phoenix for Amare. It's not a corrupt deal in a Laker world....which is the world the NBA is in......

It's meant to scare Golden State - saying he doesnt want to play there, wont sign an extension = no trade.

Even the Lakers aren't that lucky.

I am beyond skeptical about this, but one way to make it happen is sign & trades with both Odom and Ariza.  Those 2 are arguably the cream of the free agent crop.  Getting Odom gives you about 80% of what Amare provides.  Then you have Ariza, who is a premier defender and emerging offensive force (over 50% from 3 in the playoffs).

I could see Phoenix making this trade.  And it makes a lot of sense for LA too.  Bad times all around for us if it goes down.

Who is LA's SF if they made that trade?  I'm not sure they'd be better without Ariza and Odom and with Amare.

Luke Walton! But, seriously, I don't see how or why Phoenix would make this trade. If they really want Ariza, which I doubt, they could just sign him. No need for this sign and trade nonsense. As for Odom, he's already getting up there in age. How does he fit into Phoenix's long term plans?

Golden State can offer a much better package, including Biedrins, who is a young promising center, and Cury, who is bound to be a good scorer in the league for many years. This is a pipe dream for L.A. But, seeing how they got Gasol, anything can happen. The whole league is probably fixed!

666th post.  haha.

Also, GSW aren't trading Curry.

Still, I think Phoenix should do the deal of:

Biedrins, Brendan Wright, Marco Bellineli
for
Amare Stoudemire

Maybe GS can throw in a future pick or something.

That aint good...Kobe, Gasol, Amare...Oh My Lanta

Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Rondo is a scarier thought.

Nelson, Carter, Hedo, Lewis, Howard is pretty scary too, though it looks unlikely at this point.

What about Mo, Delonte, LeBron, Sheed, Shaq?

Their GM is already on record saying that they'll go over the luxury tax to resign Hedo.  What gives you the impression they'll let him go?  I completely disagree with you.

Well I am not worried about it on two counts:
(1) Lakers GM already denied the rumor;
(2) I think the trade would make the Lakers worse (they need more defense, not less) -- but it would be great fun to read about the pithy war of words between Bynum and Amare to be the "dominant Laker big man".
Celtics fan for life.

This interview, the GM himself says it is unlikely Hedo will be back with the Magic.
