On a certain level that makes sense.  However, Hill is so much better than Barnes from a talent standpoint I think it makes up for the things you mentioned.

Plus, Hill could run the offense when Rondo is out of the game, which frees up Allen, Pierce, and probably most importantly, Eddie House, to do what they do best: put the ball in the basket.
I completly agree with that. I prefer Hill to pretty much any available SF, nevermind Barnes.

I think it depends what else is happening in Phoenix. Are they in full rebuild mode? They still have Amare, Nash, etc., plus the #14 pick in the draft. People assume they'll blow it up, but maybe they go in a different direction.

For instance, the Suns could flip Ben Wallace to New Orleans for Tyson Chandler after July 1, when the new contract year starts. That move would get them a young center and still would represent some additional trimming of payroll (nearly $2 mil less).
Great call. Yoda would put us over the top. Maybe the only one to get through to Rondo. He would say.  "Powerful you have become. I sense the dark side in you"

 Rondo, Impatient you are.

i agree from an offensive standpoint, but if we're looking for a wing with some length, defensive ability (see: james posey) to rest pierce, barnes is probably more capable with his athleticism.  although, barnes has played for the warriors/suns where i don't think they even coach defense so it could be a risk.  but hey, it's draft day, so i'll select him over hill on defensive "potential."

Uhoh, Dicky V wouldn't be too happy with you. I mean, Barnes isn't even a diaper dandy. And, Grant Hill used to be a ptp'er!!
