  • Larry Bird for President
Rondo/ Marbury
Ray/ House/ Giddens
Pierce/ _______/ Walker
KG/ BBD/ ________
Perkins/ _______

those are the guys i want to stay on my team, the rest need to be filled in either through trades (Scal, TA, Pruitt) or FA.

i just don't see giddens or walker being important contributors off the bench. if we are counting on them then ugh oh

the went hard after megette too

Yeah, Maggette was the first priority, not Posey.

He would have been a nice pickup for MLE money (instead he now gets about twice that)

Yes, and had a good chance until GS made a knee jerk offer (well over the MLE) when they lost Davis.

RealGM is saying that both Budinger and Calathes are being traded for future considerations.

Quote
11:36 PM: RUMOR: Minnesota is expected to trade the rights of Nick Calathes to Dallas for future considerations, according to a report from Yahoo.

11:35 PM: RUMOR: Detroit is trading the rights to Chase Budinger to the Houston Rockets for a future 2nd round pick and cash, sources tell Yahoo!.

[dang it], Ainge could have gotten either.

I think Maggette would have gone to the Spurs if GSW hadn't made that offer.

Why? Stash Calathes overseas for the cost of a future 2nd rounder? That's a no brainer. No risk whatsoever.

I'm curious why people think that FA's are going to flock to Boston? They didn't last year. I don't share the optimism.

yeah..i am a little concerned that boston is going to have a tough time getting guys to buy in as free agents...if our bench stays the same (tony, scal, baby, giddens, house and walker) the celtics are in deep trouble...b/c i want no part of marbury and moore next season...and honestly powe adds zero with that injury

Exactly. McDyess probably could've went to the finals with us this year, but opted to go back to a losing Detroit team that was swept in the first round.
Who exactly are we attracting here again?
With nothing but the MLE...not enough to fill out our bench. That's why Ray Allen has to be traded.

Even the supposed cash-strapped Hornets made a deal tonight. Very depressing evening.

Lester Hudson might be 24 years old or something, but he has ridiculous offensive and defensive skills. I covet him!
