this move furthers my trade idea for Ridnour and the 10th pick -- unless MIL's plan is to try to sign only one of Sessions or CV. they could feel Charlie is a little too lazy with $$$ in his pockets.

Excellent trade for both teams ... but I'm surprised Detroit couldn't trade Amir to a team below the salary cap for straight cap space?

A bunch of teams missed the boat there. Amir is a good player, on a very good contract and a contract that has only one year left on it. Young and talented. Why not take a chance on that guy? He would have been perfect for Memphis and their gargantuan hole at power forward.

Oberto traded again (probably to be released)

Ex-Spurs big man Oberto was traded again last night:

He'll probably be cut by the Pistons to make room for Ben Gordon.  Would we have any interest in this guy?

Great third center, but if he is cut I see him going back to San Antonio.

Would love to have him for the minimum.

a few years ago i would've loved to have him, but he seems done now.

i remember he humiliated ben walllace in one of those international games, i think the first time the US lost, several years ago. At the time wallace was the reigning nba defensive player of the year. i don't know why he didn't come to the nba sooner.

He would make for a nice plan C as a backup C.

I agree.  I'd take him in this scenario.  If we sign someone like Antonio McDyess AND we either lose Big Baby in FA or trade away Scal, then I wouldn't mind Oberto at the minimum.  Otherwise, I don't know how much he helps.  He wouldn't be terrible as insurance though, and he certainly is playoff tested.
