At least put 1987 and 1985 up there. Lordy, these Laker teams can't come close to those 1980 teams. Just like the 2008 Celtics team would not match up too well with their 1986 team.
Wins are few, times are hard. Here is your bleeping St Patricks Day Card.

This is like asking what Virus is best swine flu or Aids.

Swine flu doesn't kill 100 percent of the time.

Neither does AIDs anymore, not with modern treatments.

The three-peat Lakers were superior teams. Shaq was simply that good to make the discussion a moot one.

Once HIV becomes AIDs, you eventually die of an AIDS related illness. And even if that wasn't the case, it still far deadlier than Swine Flu.

Why do we care about how good a Lakers team is compared to another Lakers team anyway?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Not sure what you mean by this, since the swine flu is just the flu, not particularly lethal for healthy individuals.

I think my vote might go to the 1985 team with the 1971-72 team right behind.

The 1971-72 team might even have been better. 33 straight wins. 69-13 record. +11.6 average point differential per game. Wilt, Goodrich, Hairston, West, Baylor, McMillan, Riley. West Chamberlain and Baylor  were like the current Celtics Big Three with each being 2 years younger than the next one, respectively. Everyone else on the team had like 6 years or less experience. They were one hell of a team.
