Really the one player we needed most in the playoffs was wearing an armani suit.

Amen Reverend. I assume that you are, of course, talking about JR Giddens.  ;)

It would have made no difference.

Don't you wish we had signed Chris Anderson now?

He's providing a lot of energy and defense to Denver and helped them tie the series 3-3.  He would have been a lot more useful than Mikki Moore or even Marbury who has been a questionable acquisition.

Ok imagine this - the Celtics draft Mario Chalmers at #30 instead of Giddens.  And they resign House and sign Anderson instead of Mikki Moore and Tony Allen.  How much BETTER would this year's Celtics team have been?  I certainly think they would have had a better chance in the playoffs with tougher defense and a legit backup point.

game seven is tuesday?

All kidding aside, of course after seeing POB and mikki i wish we had signed the birdman (and i wanted him at the time)

but given the off the court issues Anderson has had, i can't really blame the celtics for missing on what would have been a project player coming back off a two year timeout for (reportedly) a coke habit for a different project.

I must stress the fact that his
name is ANDERSEN, not Anderson.

yep. but again, to be fair, alot of people didn't want him at the time, due to off the court issues and questions about whether he could still play after two years off for a drug habit.

If you let me put together a team based on knowing the results of the ensuing season, and what long shots hit, I'm quite sure i could compete for a championship year in and year out :D

Yea I remember all the people on this post not wanting him. No question he was a risk but I was dow for him. At least you knew he could play. Coulda had him on a cheap 2 year deal and if it didn't work out it wouldn't have killed us. The POB was a riskier deal, as POB never proved he could play.

I wish we had signed Anderson two years ago...Let alone this year. He is the perfect energetic big man off the bench this team would need.

two years ago he would have been illegal to sign, as he was serving his NBA time out for substance abuse.

He'd be better than POB or Moore but I think he spends way too much time just running around trying to block shots. Doesn't seem to play smart.
