You rarely hear a player refer to his own shot as a "great shot."

Sometimes, you calls 'em like you sees 'em.
Even if his ego is too big for his own good.
It was a huge shot and it saved them from
going down 0-2, with two games now in Orlando.

Orlando has had a lot of tough losses to swallow in these playoffs (Iguodala's game winning shot, Young's game winning shot, Big Baby's buzzer beater, the comeback win of the C's in game 5...) and the team always rebounded ultimately in the series.

I expect the Magic to be fired up tomorrow and to beat the Cavs by 15+ points. The Amway Arena is a nightmare for the Cavs.

i hear ya drucci, but remember, this series, like the west, is a play or two from being 2-0 either way. these have been great games so far. i just wish we were a part of them.  >:(

Yeah, it's true that both series have been close and could have gone 2-0 for one team. But what makes me mad is that the media always talk about the Cavs, like the Magic didn't deserve to win game 1 (they talked more about LeBron's performance than the result of the game) or were expected to lose game 2 (as if Cleveland won by 20 points in some blowout fashion). I mean, if you go on ESPN and look at the "experts" predictions they all picked the Cavs as if the Magic was not a true contender team. This disrespect to the Magic and all this love for the Cavs is annoying, especially when the Cavs have just shown that they are not unbeatable at all.

Though, LeBron is the best player in the league and I respect what he does. I always find myself saying "Wow!" when he makes some amazing plays. I don't like his whining and arrogant attitude, though. I just hate his team (can't stand many of his teammates, starting by Mo Williams) and I've been saying since a long time that his teammates will ultimately fail LeBron.

Anyway the two Conference Finals are really great this year, and I hope the games will stay close till the end of both series!

Just watch the shot closely.  He runs to the top of the 3, catches it with his feet already set and he pretty much elevates straight up.  The defender isn't in his face until he's already elevated and releasing the ball (they call this a clean look in the sports world).  Degree of difficulty 8/10 and only cause he had a second to elevate and shoot.  Its a routine catch a shoot that they work on in practice everyday.

Shuttleworth's shot to win game 2 vs chicago was a tougher shot then that.

Then I read a comment by an Ohio fan about how they are tired of hearing about NY and LA, and can't a small market team win for once, and I agree with them about that, but Orlando isn't NY or LA either so why should they get treated as such. ORL is in the same boat as CLE looking for thier first title.

TP for your post..i feel about the same way about LBJ teammates, especially Mo.I don't see Mo as a superstar but as a good offensive player that plays in streaks. Everytime you heard any of their players in an interview, you would think they had won a championship already.Lebron has been impressive by not only being a great all around player but a consistent player this season but his teammates has not always been as consistent night after night and thats why i feel the Magic has a good chance to beat them in a 7game series.

I agree that Ray's shot was a tougher one, but Lebron's was NOT a clean look.  And even at that, making, as you say, an 8/10 difficulty shot with the game on the line, and the lofty expectations of your teams championship run in serious jeopardy is still pretty impressive.

You can't replicate that in practice.
Yup

Its not that people hate Lebron. Well I know I don't.  I'm simply rooting for other players who get far less recognition and if Lebron wins, those players will lose.  I didn't hate MJ either.  I just wanted Clyde to get a ring with POR, Barkley to get a ring with PHO, Kemp to get a ring with SEA, and Stockton & Malone to get their ring with UTA.

I felt the same way you do.......after MJ got his 3rd ring, James has yet to get his 1st.

According to the media Lebron already has gotten his ring. Turk,Howard,Rashard,Melo & Nene haven't gotten anything. Not a commercial, not an expert picking them to win. Nothing.

I hate LeBron because he's the "Chosen One."  Chosen by the media, that is.  Like others have said, there's a prevailing attitude that anything but a Kobe vs LeBron Finals will be a disappointment and that LeBron has pretty much already won the ring.

I detest the idea of a Kobe vs LeBron Finals because I want the Finals to be a matchup between two teams not two players, and the coverage and the games will all be Kobe vs LeBron.  Denver vs Orlando would be far more exciting and I'd actually be happy no matter who wins.

Screw LeBron.

It was a very clutch shot and you have to give LeBron the credit.  LeBron won that game, his team lost it.  Orlando by all rights should be up 2-0 in this series.

I really hope the Cavs lose the series though because as a team they deserve to lose it.  LeBron may be far better than anyone on the Magic but the Magic as a team are better in this matchup against the Cavs and they deserve to win. I still think they can win this series as long as they keep playing the way they have been.  If they can do that, they should finish it in 6 games at most.
