You all as Supporters ... are KILLING this team.

Now this post isn't directed at any of the Celtic faithful, those been the true believers, who stick with the team through thick and thin.

This is directed at those who jump on and them jump off the bandwagon so much, it makes them as fit, as an Olympic athlete.

Have you not all realized? We are missing our nucleus, our heart and soul, the man who brought us together as a team, yet we find ourselves in the position to head into the Eastern Conference Finals without him, holding a massive chance to cause an upset.

Yet, we have many of our so called fans, making statements like;

Ray Allen Sucks.....Paul Pierce isn’t clutch.....Ray Allen is killing this team…..ect.

Without any one of those men above, we wouldn't have won the title last year, we wouldn't have even got out of the first round this season, yet I still see people constantly bagging them and it's a disgrace.

Either your with us or against us, but make the decision quick, because we don't need you if you’re going to continue been so negative.

Most of rooted for Alaa Abdelnaby and the cast of thousands during our 20 years in the desert.  I daresay you won't find a more committed bunch.  Yeah people get frustrated and it comes out in different ways, but any C's fan who can type knows hard times.

Sometimes it is hard to take the negativity, true.  Especially when you know our guys are out there struggling through nagging injuries, exhaustion, travel, etc. to fight the uphill battle to the next Boston Championship.  When we look back on this postseason I think we will all become even more aware of just how gutsy the Celtics are.

this is celticsblog...we are all "faithful". there is VERY few, if any fairweather fans here.

this team has more heart than any other team, possibly in any sport, if someone cant see that, they are stupid

My money helps pay their salaries. If they dont perform, I can complain.


I understand some of this players helped us win this year, but if they arent playing well, then they can realize that and let someone else step up to perform.

There is no fun nor pride in losing.

Living in the past doesn't help our present or future.

but understand the fustration of most fan.i had to prepare my self for work wensday to here how we aint gonna make it...i coulda threw la in they face but the truth is many laker fans dont watch the laker games....espn highlights..etc..etc..newspapers...blah blah


forget the the haters and enjoy your team...man im in cali wearing my Celtic's hat and gettin mess all the time

I'm a fan of this team, not an individual player. At all times, I want what is best for this team to win. No player comes above the team!! To quote Mr. Spock, "The good of the many outweighs the good of the few ... or the one."

I don't care much for the negativity either, but I fail to see how it is "killing" the Celtics.  Unless they're all reading the blog and are curled up in a ball, weeping with hurt over what they have read, I think the Celts are doing OK with all this. 

They're not dead, but if they do die, it won't be because some frustrated bloggers said they suck.

The idea that because you are a professional you are invincible is ridiculous. These people are playing at a level that most of us can only dream of and not only that - they are playing against other people that are blessed with the same (more or less) gifts. People are ready to throw big papi under the bus, ray allen - who is next. Paul pierce misses a couple free throws. He's a human being not a freak'in machine. Enjoy the ride.

Eh...  Celticsblog is for discussion.  I doubt that that discussion -- positive or negative -- is having one iota of an effect on the team.

While it's good to support the team, I don't see anything wrong with discussing the times when a player isn't performing as well as he could.  In my opinion, fans shouldn't ignore the issue when they see a player making poor decisions, or having repeated poor performances. 

I expect fans to cheer their hearts out at games, but here, it's a place for fans to focus on every last detail of the team, which sometimes is going to include criticism.  I appreciate the positivity, but I see nothing wrong with discussing both strengths *and* weaknesses of this team.

Who the _ do you think you are? I follow this team on the radio, on the internet. I go to the few games I can because I care, not out of some sense of entitlement. I lived in Boston during the Bird years and have followed from afar ever since, good times and bad. I think that gives me the right to say that I am sick of the senseless belly aching. Does anyone realize that this team is without not two but three critical components. KG and Powe are injured and Posey left for greener pastures. I was going to complain about Marbury a few games back; but would have looked pretty silly after he turned things around and won the game.

Sorry could not resist - point taken.

Would just appreciate a balanced assessment now and then. There are those that are convinced a player is worthless and has no right to be a Celtic. There are those who support anyone who has been given the honor to be a Celtic and who want them to rise to the occasion. What I find hard is when expectations are out of line and when assumptions or motives are ascribed to people that are just unfair. There is a dynamic to basketball and most sports that one has to roll with. No body is perfect. Different people step up at different times. Ray Allen has won games on his shooting and on his hustle. He has won them with his IQ and with his commitment to the team concept. Most importantly, he has been an incredible role model for Rondo and all the other C's. Without him no KG, no big three no gold ball.

TP for you, Roy. Writing that Ray Allen or anyone else is killing the team is an opinion and it is not saying that Ray Allen sucks, etc. These guys make a whole lot of money to play a kids' game and they are open to criticism and praise.
