I've read on ESPN that Rondo arrived at the arena at 6:55 pm, maybe he didn't have a good pregame routine... or he just decided to play poorly tonight, who knows with him? ???

I would like to see more Marbury (minus his turnovers).

Again? It happened a similar thing a few games ago, if I'm not mistaken. What's up with this Rondo arriving late to playoff games stuff?

he did for game one...and that looked a lot like this one tonight

Here is the quote I was talking about, from a Chris Sheridan pregame chat :

Quote
Nicole (Vermont): I see the biggest question mark of the night is going to be Rajon Rondo... it seems like when he can get the team up and down the court and take the ball to the basket the celtics are unstoppable, what do you think?

SportsNation Chris Sheridan: (7:39 PM ET ) I don;t know about him being a question mark. He;s looked pretty steady and outstanding to me. The only thing I'd question is whether he'll get off to a slow start. He didn;t arriv at the arena til 6:52 p.m.

The slate is now clean, true.

Time for 24 minutes of full-out effort, since we apparently couldn't muster 48.

No effort? Then start your summer vacation early by having a seat on the bench.

Maybe he was too busy reading Shira Springer's lengthy profile of him.

Rondo is on double-secret probation pending the results of this second half.

I'm really tired of discussing his wildly inconsistent play.

But if you think he didn't sit for six minutes in the first half for a reason ...

Average is a VERY charitable characterization of an effort that would have me blistering my point guard at halftime - at a decidedly lower level of basketball. Effort isn't a negotiable point with me; it either happens, or I'm gonna bury a kid on the bench.

Still, he didn´t have a lot of opprtunities to give it back to Alston.
I agree, he has shown a lack of effort on that particular play. However, we can´t expect Rondo to dominate every game (or series).

I don´t want to play the 23-year-old-card, but it is what it is.
Rafer is a wily thug of a streetballer, and Rose is a Rookie.

I expect Pierce to step it up in the second and win this game for us.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

it is hard to see boston dig their own grave early in the first quarter....the last 5 minutes of the first quarter allowed orlando to get some distance...poor starts won't get it done

I'm not getting my point across here.

Results don't bother me. A lack of effort does.

The young man is being paid millions. There is no acceptable excuse for a lack of effort.

None. Not age. Not a veteran point. There's no excuse at all for a lack of effort.

2 goaltends in one play, we've set a new record folks.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."
