Big Baby's Jump in Production

He's up in scoring almost a full ten points per game in the playoffs from his season's average.

Obviously, a large part of this is due to the fact that he's playing a bunch more minutes (37.8 playoffs, 21.5 regular season), but no matter what the circumstances this is a remarkable jump in production.  He's been in double figure in all but one playoff game, and hit for 20+ five times.

I remember Boobie Gibson coming out of nowhere and having some big nights a few years back, but I can't ever recall anyone making this big of a jump in production for the post season (especially for a team that's had some success).

Anyone stand out for similar jumps in playoff production?

This kind of jump would only occur due to increased playing time likes as a result of an injury.  So when thinking back, that's probably what one would need to look for.  Unfortunately, I cannot think of any such case than produced this big a a jump.

I think a fair amount of his scoring increase is do to teams leaving him to double Pierce and Allen, plus Rondo driving and dishing. While he's hit some inside hooks, most of his scoring has been open jumpers. The Bulls and Magic have been daring him to shoot and to his credit, he's been hitting his shots.
