The lovely part is that now that the Magic are up 20, the biased calls will stop. Mark my word.

Cs have benefited from 8 FTs to 0 or thereabouts since you posted that... nice.
The final free throw tally is Orlando: 36 - Boston: 26.

I thought he looked at him, turned around, and then threw the elbow... it doesn't look very accidental since the time between the initial look and the elbow is so short.
If Pietrus bent over a little more, it could have been an elbow in the head, which doesn't mean Perkins was aiming there. His elbow was at about his waist, from what I saw.

Can't believe Walker missed that dunk! That would have made my night!  :'(

I thought he was a lottery pick if not for the knee problems? His knees look fine to me. Give him some run. Rashard Lewis isn't that much bigger than him at the 4.

Isn't walker like 6' 4" 6' 5"? Lewis is 6' "10.. Walker should not see the court in this playoffs

Walker's 6'6", but more rugged than Lewis and a leaper. he played the 4 last yr. I'd say he's as much a 4 as Lewis, if not more.

Walker at 6' "6 you think is as much a power forward as Rashard Lewis??? Just cause you have hops doesn't mean that you can play the 4

He was able to back down and shoot over every single player we put on him tonight, so he must have been doing something right.

From a Magic fan:

According to the rules, an intentional elbow above the shoulders is an ejectable offense, and if the player is not ejected, the player is suspended for the next game.  It all comes down to if Stu thinks it was intentional, my hope as a Magic fan, is that since Boston got the benefit of the doubt with Rondo's Brad Miller foul they will not again, but since all Magic fans have a 'small market team inferiority complex' I'm guessing Perkins will not be suspended.  But, if the replays show any eye contact with MP before the foul, then I think Stu has no choice but to suspend him for game 4.  What's with ESPN not showing more replays? Question for you guys, we don't have any more local TV coverage in this round, do you still get the games on local TV with your normal annoucers in Boston?

I was referring to a comment about how walker should guard Lewis at the 4 and how Walker is as much a power forawrd if not more than Lewis

perk gets suspended then the series is over....not whining...not being negative...being a realist....i love the celtics as much as the next guy on this board but i know they are on borrowed time and have no room for errors...the perk elbow was a HUGE swing...i actually think boston will play well in game 4 with perk...but without him....very tough...we blow them out...they blow us out....

Agree 100 percent, and based on what I saw, it is going to be tough for Jackson to not suspend him. He is suspended and the series is over. If he plays, C's still in it.
Kobe Bryant: same elbow, no suspension. I don't see why a different measure should be applied to Perkins.

an elbow to the chest(Kobe) is a flagrant 1 foul.  an elbow above the shoulders (perks was to the throat) flagrant 2 and a one game suspension.

and like the Rafer incident, since an ejection wasnt made by the officials, it increases the chances of suspension so the league makes sure it was handled right.

We'll wait and see, I guess.

No one saying Lewis isn't a talented offensive player, but height isn't the be all end all. Barkley was like 6'4" and could board with the best and there are plenty of tall (even 7 foot) soft players. We've had two this yr ourselves (POB and Mikki). This obsession with height is wrong to me. Powe is another example of a guy who's really like 6'6" and can play the 4. Barkley's not walking through that door (doorway isn't wide enough anyways) and Powe's not walking through that door. Walker is a healthy Celtic, who people say would have been a lottery pick if not for his knees. well his knees look fine, so I don't think its a stretch to consider playing him when all your bigs are dropping like flies.

Those of you saying Kobe elbowed run in the chest are blind.  He clearly hit him in the throat.  The league however, ruled it different, but they think most fans can't think for themselves.

i dont understand the constant comparison with the Rondo foul.  We got the benfit of the doubt as far as it not being a flagrant foul, but Rondo not being suspended was the right call.  Its not like Rondo took a swing  after the shot was taken like Rafer did, which was a cheap shot.  Rondo hit Miller in the face, yes, but it was a foul made on a basketball play to stop the shot from going in.  It was a flagrant, unnecessary foul, not made on the ball(which was the arguement). Not a suspendable play.

I do think Perk will be suspended, b/c he was setting a screen and knew a Magic player would be there, and he chose to stick his elbow out not extend his arm.  Yeah he wasnt looking, but maybe he should next time, its Perks fault he didnt know where the elbow was wasnt supposed to throw wasnt gonna land, not Stu Jacksons.

Well Walker hasn't really looked like Barkley this year. And he hasn't looked like Powe. He shouldn't be playing at all in the post season and if he does it shouldn't be to lockdown Rashard Lewis
