can the league fine an announcer?

I thought Tommy and Max both have been fined before. Tommy  a few years ago for his tirade on Ed F Rush ("F for fool") and Max for his sexist remarks, although I could be wrong

Yeah Tommy's been fined a few times.  He's deserved them everytime.  I'm not home so I can't watch them, but my mom said he's on a roll, maybe another fine tonight.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I've re watched the Rondo/Hinrich play many times and I think that the whole NBA community is once again overreacting...

I think so.  I'm worried about a suspension less about the actual play and more about how the media's gonna jump on this after last game's controversy, and the reaction to the play.  There'll be a lot of scrutiny on this tomorrow, especially if there's a Game 7.

Yeah, I'm not totally confident but I think Rondo could avoid a suspension (in my opinion he doesn't deserve it). But what matters now is this game, if we win tonight we won't have to play a game 7 so just focus, play better D, get Paul, Perk and Rondo in the offense and it'll be good.
He won't be suspended. There wasn't a fight and he didn't throw a punch. The only suspensions that will come from that is if a player left either team's bench.

if we are lucky maybe they will suspend moore :)

its just amazing players/coaches can't say a word about officiating or other teams, etc. but Tommy can gripe and complain and basically say anything and everything - plus slandering other team's players - insinuating that Brad Miller wasn't legitimately hurt... calling other team's players names - its childish, detracts from the experience of watching a game - I get it that Tommy's a homer, and that's ok, but to scream every time a celtic gets fouled, or has a foul called on him and pretend to see nothing when a celtic does something wrong (I.E. Rondo looks just as to blame for the Hienrich thing as Hienrich and Tommy goes off on Kirk) its just unprofessional and should be addressed imo.

that said - go celtics, lets put this thing away.
