I've never been a Marbury fan, but the guy's bringing great effort and energy that this team has been decidedly missing, outstanding passing and he's working his butt off on the defensive end to a level I never thought I'd see.

In the chaos of the end of this season, Marbury has been a bright spot, frankly.
He had some awful turnovers on traps though. Marbury looked like bad Tony at times during the game.

I think he's a good weapon on the bench I just wish we could count on him....

best part of the game was Paul Pierce ALL OVER the rest of the team before the second half started...just ripping into them...that was the intensity i love seeing
I have to agree with you here. The team didn't even try to get back and defend in transition during the second quarter. After Pierce let them have it that didn't happen again in the second half.

all about effort...and i think this game was huge for tony's confidence and powe's knee....both looked good tonight in extended minutes

Powe did not get extended minutes. Nor did he look that great to me. He only played 17 minutes and got 4 rebounds. But you didn't see him attack the boards the way he does when healthy.

If he's not rebounding hard he's not quite right. Offensively I think he looked pretty good though with his post moves.

anyone else think the lakers-jazz could be a tough series for LA to start out with??

I'm thinking it will be tough and hoping it will be too tough.  Anyone else interested in disappointing the Utah fans in the Finals?

They can't make it playing on the road for three straight series. Its just too hard.

But they could definitely get to the WCF, especially as if they avoid the 8 seed.

Good breakdowns all  . . . TA's return was "auspicious," Powe's return was cause for relief, the Truth was The Truth and Marbury did indeed act like the rudder for our C's ship.

From my POV, I was also very pleased with Moore's overall play (especially early), and I was very pleased to see Pierce want the win.  I wish we showed more of it every game, but at least we saw our makeshift team ramp up its intensity and execute down the stretch.

We avoided giving Sixers hope.  They've lost 6 in a row, the last against an incomplete C's team that mailed in about half the game.  All in all a fun game to watch.

Who has the tie breaker between Utah and Dallas?  Because if the Jazz somehow pull off a win tonight and the Mavs fall to the Rockets (possible), they would be tied, I believe.  I'd rather the Lakers see the Jazz in the first round as I think they're tougher than the Mavs.

Yeah, you are right, but I still dream.  I still want to see the Flakers play Utah somewhere in the playoffs.

Yup. Good game so far. But I don't think the Jazz can stay in it in LA for the second half.
