  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Working as a researcher and consultant for a national non-profit/think tank right now, so I write a lot, travel some, and occasionally get called as an expert witness and have to testify in front of state legislatures, which is cool.

In 5 years I'm looking to do more consulting and possibly latch on either with a university in an AD role, or with a professional sports league as a lobbyist (the UFC 4-5 years ago would have been perfect...now I'm not so sure that role needs to be filled...)

Ever come down to the Georgia General Assembly?  I was a "legislative liaison" (internal lobbyist) for about 10 years.

I do, actually.  GA's got an amazing school choice program, and is pushing to become the first state in the country with universal choice for its residents, so we play a lot there.  I work a lot with Reps. Casas and Johnson, specifically.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

What do you do for work and where do you see yourself in 5 years? I'm on the verge of finishing my BS and I'm curious what fellow posters are doing for bread.  :)

Prof. in Sociology in the great state of Alabama. Nice job, beautiful state, and no shortage of things to study.

I punch Laker fans in the face.

In 5 years I hope to be punching actual players in the face.

Maybe you should have chosen Kermit Washington as a screen name...

Surprisingly my town also specialized in that

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
