Thibodeau shows an ability to run NBA defenses. But credit Doc for making it work within the staff. A head coach does not need to be a great X and O guy ... and Doc on defense is not (though his ability to create offensive plays, especially out of timeouts is very underappreciated). But he is a good delegator. He lets Thibodeau work and yell at the troops - and not many coaches would do that.
