big surprise.shaq "privately wants out of phoenix". ha. i would have guessed he'd go to the lakers with all the arse kissing he's doing to kobe but they probably wanna get bynum going and i don't think shaq could handle coming off the bench behind him so i'm guessing shaq plays for san antonio next year for pennies. how bad does nash want a title? i think orlando would be a great fit for him. any thoughts?

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I think the most likely thing is for Phoenix to allow Shaq to expire next season; I don't think they'll want to take on other salary commitments.  If they do do a trade, I think it will be for other expiring contracts, plus either a young player or a draft pick.

As for Nash...  it's hard to think that they wouldn't pick up his option.  If they don't, it's hard to say where he'd end up.  He's always talked about wanting to play in Toronto, but I think Portland would be a good fit for him.

How about Shaq in green? ;D

After seeing he still has plenty left, I'd definitely welcome the Diesel.

Insert him into this team, and another banner is basically a lock.

...and it shouldn't be a question that he would be starting over Perk.

Really? I'd rather his offense off the bench

Me too he really could be powerful with Marbury if we keep him next season. I don't think he would really want go anywhere except a contender team. Same with Nash and they both got experience to help win a championship if they end up somewhere else.

Expire? Jeez I think the cactus will live a little longer than that. Although playing with Kobe all those year certainly took a few years off his life.

While watching the Suns demolish the Warriors last night the two annoucers were discussing this very subject. One of them felt Nash might end up in NY with his old coach, and Shaq would play another season for the Suns.

I'm curious as to how much money Nash might command as a free agent. Because if he's somewhat cheap, wouldn't New York be a logical possibility simply because of D'Antoni? The reason I mention money is that you have to think NY is trying to be extremely cash conscious after the money problems Isaiah got them into.

i actually think that if we had shaq on the second unit we could live with less of a scoring PG, i mean if you dump it to Shaq its guarunteed scoring his worst year percentage wise is .562%
