Don't know if Davis will start over Amir Johnson, but he could compete for minutes. Toronto will be awful, so they have no reason not to give their rookies some playing time.

I'd agree. Didn't see anything from Davis in Summer League to make me think Johnson no longer has the inside track. But Ed will certainly get minutes in a thin frontcourt.

As a rule I'm sceptical of athletic late-risers who played in relative anonymity like George. But latest out of Indiana is that he's further along than Granger was coming into his first training camp...
