I'll just add this:
I pity the team the Celts will
be playing when KG returns!
Almost a Mr. T quote.  And I agree with you.  Let's hope the return is soon and that he really is 100%.

Just wanted to dampen expectations a little. It might take him a few games to get back into the swing of things. Remember last year when he came back from injury and we lost 3 in a row? Not that I'm predicting that, but give it time.

Finally it won't be 2-3 weeks but at least a month. I would like him to return vs San Antonio on Friday but maybe the team will decide to bring him at the next home game, on the 23rd vs the Clippers for example.

Some updates:

"Kevin Garnett (knee) isn't expected to play until Friday, but that's the first of back-to-back games and it wouldn't be surprising if he returns on Saturday instead. That gives him a maximum of two games, after a long layoff, so it's probably unwise to start him this week"

"Looks like Kevin Garnett won't return from his knee injury and be reunited with new Celtic Stephon Marbury until either Friday at San Antonio or Saturday at Memphis."

If he's ready Friday, I would assume he could play two days earlier?  Say Wednesday?
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson

True, according to the Bucks/Celtics recap's notes :

Quote
Rivers said that Garnett, who has missed 11 games, wants back so bad that "if there was a treadmill Olympics, he'd be leading the pack right now." Rivers added that the chances for Garnett and Davis to play Friday at San Antonio were above 50 percent. ... Boston slipped to 6-5 in the last 11 games without Garnett

Hopefully the return of Garnett can get the team back on track...
