Nice to get some help and Cleveland plays in SA tomorrow.

I should not have taken Gibson tonight in the Pts contest.

Can we start an overreacting "Hello HCA" thread now?

Pretty ugly game from the Cavs last night.  No one could hit a shot.  Lebron picked up some legitimate early offensive fouls which negated any drives he was making to the basket.  Yao was a monster and Houston was knocking down their open looks.  All of the cavs guards looked off.

Houston was able to completely lag off of Wallace and double team on defense.  It reminded me of when the Cavs had Eric Snow.

wallace being injured may be a good thing for the Cavs.  His defense is not near the level it used to be and his offense is a huge liability

I don't think this is the case. What makes the Cavs/Celtics true contenders is their excellent rebounding and defense. In particular the Cavs frontcourt of LeBron/Z/Wallace/AV is what drives the teams success.

It will make your offense run more smoothly without Ben, but its still a loss. I hope he is okay but it sounds like he'll be out the rest of this season. Ben is a good guy hate to see it.

Actually, Andy is just a good of a defender and rebounder as Ben is.  It does hurt our rotation a little, but hopefully Hickson can step up.  The cavs may also be calling some old tall guys sitting at home to see if they want back in the league

He definitely has been this season. But the loss of depth will hurt badly. Having AV come off the bench is brutal for many teams to match up with.

Plus look at the Cav's potential playoff opponents in the second round. Miami/Atlanta/Magic are the three strongest possibility. All three of those teams can be taken advantage of on the boards. Dominating the rebounding battle would be the best way to dominate those series. Losing Wallace hurts the Cavs in doing that.

They'll still make ECF though.

well, it looks like the Cavs really don't know how bad Wallace's injury is.  I heard they will have him in a cast for a few weeks and then x-ray again to see how the bone is healing.  They will determine at that point when or if he can return this year

From what I've read online it is an injury that only rest and a cast can heal. So probably they are hoping its 4 weeks, but it could be more.  :(
